President Youth Council Pakistan, Muhammad Shehzad Khan, met with Antoinette Taus, Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Climate Change Adaptation Forum.
The meeting centered around youth-led climate action, environmental awareness, and sustainable development initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region. Both leaders discussed opportunities for collaborative projects between UNEP and Youth Council Pakistan to engage young people in climate education, community resilience, and nature-based solutions.
Mr. Khan emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to empowering youth as frontline advocates in climate adaptation and environmental protection, while Ms. Taus appreciated the growing role of Pakistani youth in advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and building a greener, more resilient future for all.
