Senior Advisor THE YOUTH COUNCIL PAKISTAN & Former Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Yasmine Dar, Chairperson of the International Lobby on Kashmir, has received another prestigious recognition for her outstanding contributions to community service, women’s empowerment and advocacy for the Kashmiri people.
Councillor Yasmine Dar was honoured by the Aurat Foundation of Pakistan at a ceremony held in Manchester on Friday, 9th October, where she received an award presented by Dr Afzal Khan MP CBE.
As a Senior Advisor of THE YOUTH COUNCIL PAKISTAN and a dedicated leader of the Jammu Kashmir Self Determination Movement International (JKSDMI), Councillor Yasmine Dar has played a significant role in strengthening women’s participation and leading international lobbying efforts on Kashmir across the United Kingdom, Europe and beyond.
Her unwavering commitment to raising awareness of the suffering, human rights violations and ongoing struggle of the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir has earned her widespread respect and admiration.
