YOUTH COUNCIL PAKISTAN-YCP upholds the dignity of Pakistan’s flag. It’s our identity and pride. It is a symbol of our sacrifices and we must uphold its grandeur even if it cost our lives. Having respect for the National Flag shows the moral values of citizens of the country.

About YCP:

YOUTH COUNCIL PAKISTAN-YCP is a nonprofit, non-governmental and non-political social welfare platform, which was established in 2017 through the social awareness and uplifting pro- gram. It has been working to spread awareness against gender based violence, social uplifting of poor masses and to awaken, systematise and activate the communities for realisation of human development efforts, focusing on the rule of law and increasing attention towards policy and law reform in the form of investments in justice, peace and strengthening of democratic institutions through advocacy, human rights and social welfare. YCP was established on basis of great hu- man cause taken by a group of prominent social workers and educationist to surface out the un- tapped potential in society and work wholeheartedly for the uplifting of poor and underprivileged class.

The greatest wealth and strength of any nation is its citizen who is morally and financially sound and civilised. The future of a nation lies in the hands of its posterity. The quality of its people de- termines the kind of future the nation will have. Therefore, if we want to ensure a bright future for our country, we first need to strengthen and empower our people especially the youth. The civilised manpower of any nation and society is its potential energy. They are the powerhouse of infinite energy. If we can harness this powerhouse of the nation in the right direction, then the country can reach untold heights.

All we need is to direct the energy of our people in constructive channels that lead to develop- ment and progress. The best and the foremost way to strengthen our people is to provide them education and social upliftings. YCP has a special focus on the role of youth as it is most impor- tant in today’s time. YCP plans to arrange dialogue sessions of youth from all over the country with intellectuals and experts from different fields of life. Moreover, we also plan to hold model parliamentary sessions for youth ministers & youth senators in which they will practice debating over different issues in order to enhance their understanding of the institutions and democratic processes.

YOUTH COUNCIL PAKISTAN, YCP also aims to work closely with all govt functionaries like  Senate of Pakistan, Education Ministry, Narcotics Control, Kashmir Committee, Ministry of Climate Change,  . in order to achieve the afore- mentioned goals by engaging the young talent of this motherland in positive and challenging ac- tivities so that their hidden potential surface out and make our society free from all ills.

Our Mission

The European Youth Parliament is a peer-to-peer educational programme that brings together young people from across Europe to debate the pressing issues of our time. Our mission is to inspire and empower young Europeans to be open-minded, tolerant and active citizens.

1. The vision of the Council shall be: ‘empowered and engaged young people, working for a better world’’.

2. The mission of the Council shall be: ‘’Empowering and engaging young people in sustainable development, democracy and the values of the Commonwealth’’

Objectives

The primary objectives of the Council shall be:

a) to contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the Commonwealth by promoting mutual collaboration among young people, and working in partnership with state and non-state actors in order to empower the young people of the Commonwealth, without distinction of race, ethnic origin, caste, colour, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, special needs, socio-economic status, marital status, language, religious belief or political opinion;

b) to be a global platform which mainstreams young people into the work of the Commonwealth at all levels; supporting and advocating for an enabling environment that facilitates the active participation and influence of young people in decision-making processes, and the consideration of youth-specific needs in all policy areas;

c) to be a centre for mobilising, harmonising, formalising, recognising, legitimising, utilising, and prioritising the voices and actions of young people in the advancement of youth; and to be a unified voice for youth in the Commonwealth; and to encourage and extend, as appropriate, assistance to Commonwealth countries, in particular small states, in the promotion and acceleration of their youth development strategies;

d) to advocate the inclusion and , and encourage governments to include young people in delegations to international functions and as members of in particular, Commonwealth Ministerial Meetings, Commonwealth Heads of Governments meetings and United Nations meetings; and to support young people’s participation in election observer missions, Commonwealth Board of Governors and other Commonwealth meetings;

e) to be a centre for information on youth work and development, and accordingly collect, monitor, analyse and disseminate information including the exchange of experiences and best practices in youth-led development; and to provide a website, online resources and to create project plans and campaigns so that young people can be integral in the achievement of the Commonwealth youth development agenda and sustainable development; and

f) to partner with the Commonwealth Secretariat and other Commonwealth organisations with a focus on youth development, to ensure a relevant, impactful and unified youth development agenda across the Commonwealth.

VISION

To build a global forum and platform on which all young people can  develop a unified voice and take collective action toward social,  economic, and environmental progress.

MISSION

To provide educational resources, leadership opportunities, and a  global network to support young people in developing entrepreneurial  projects and campaigns to address global issues and support sustainable  development on a local, regional and international level.

The International Youth Council (IYC) aims to promote  sustainable development – social equity, environmental quality and  economic viability – through cross-cultural, inter-generational  partnerships and strategic initiatives with the United Nations, IGOs,  NGOs, government missions and local organizations.
